I grew up on a dairy farm in Utah — moving between the farm and town and back again, the way farm life goes. It shaped me more than I realized at the time.
In my twenties my job took me all over the United States. I had time to travel and see the beautiful world in which we live, and of course I took my camera with me. Eventually that season of traveling led me to Wyoming, where I married my husband, had our daughter, and put down roots — adding our mini Aussie Corgi, Sparky, to the mix along the way.
I'd been holding a camera since fourth grade, but it was my daughter's newborn session that made me pick it up with purpose. I felt the gap in what I received and decided to fill it.
Six years later I'm still chasing that feeling. My daughter has since claimed the title of apprentice photographer and has her own camera to prove it.
Whether we’re in the High Country, along the lakeside, or out where prairie grasses move in the wind, I approach each session with presence, calm, and intention.
I believe in gentle guidance over stiff posing, honest movement over perfection, and photographs that preserve the feeling of a moment rather than simply record it.
Each gallery is created not just for now, but for the years ahead—for the day you’ve forgotten the way your child leaned into you, or how this season of life once felt.
She is the one who makes them laugh and holds them when they cry. She teaches them right from wrong and stands up for them when the world feels too big. She is the keeper of the small moments — the ones that seem ordinary until they're gone.
And one day that little girl who leaned into her on a hillside in the Black Hills will stand in front of a mirror in a wedding dress, and her mother will be right there beside her.
My hope is that none of it goes undocumented. Not the seasons of childhood. Not the morning of the wedding. Not the quiet moments in between.
That is why I do this work.
I work best with clients who value connection, thoughtful planning, and a more guided, storytelling approach to photography. A consultation helps us determine if we’re a good fit before booking.
This is simply a chance for us to connect and talk through what you’re hoping for. We’ll discuss your vision, walk through the experience, answer questions, and make sure the session feels aligned before booking.
Nothing salesy. Just clarity, connection, and thoughtful planning.
