What a way to start the year for our 2025 wedding couples! Thomas and Bailee’s winter wedding was filled with love, laughter, and the beauty of a fresh layer of snow. Creating the perfect winter wonderland as they took the time out to do their First Look. Their winter wedding brought together cozy elegance, heartfelt moments, and a setting that perfectly complemented their love story.

A Winter Wedding

Thomas and Bailee’s wedding day began with preparations at the groom’s parents’ 1900 Victorian home. The house’s historic charm added a touch of timeless beauty to their getting-ready moments. We were able to capture this couple descending the grand staircase, their radiant smile a glimpse of the joy to come.

The day before, the couple created magic during their first look in the heart of Spearfish Canyon. Fresh snow blanketed the ground, turning the rustic setting near Spearfish Canyon Lodge into a winter wonderland. This intimate moment allowed them to reflect on their love and enjoy a peaceful pause before their big day.

The couple shared an intimate moment that perfectly reflected the magic of their winter theme. We captured their First Look up by the Spearfish Canyon Lodge, then hiked down to the Spearfish Falls to capture breathtaking photos with them by the falls. This private time allowed them to soak in the love story between them and take time before the busyness of their wedding day.

Their ceremony was held at Venue 519, in Belle Fourche SD, with a 1 PM start that welcomed guests into a space adorned with winter warmth. Soft candlelight lined the aisle, and twinkling lights illuminated an arch beautifully decorated by Bailee’s maid of honor.

The ceremony overflowed with emotion. Thomas and Bailee exchanged heartfelt vows, written to capture their unique love story. Bailee reflected on how she hadn’t initially expected Thomas to be “the one” but had always known he would be a part of her life. Watching Thomas’s emotional response reminded everyone of how love grows beautifully over time.

After the ceremony, Bailee’s focus quickly shifted to reuniting with her baby. Although no formal portraits followed, this touching decision highlighted her devotion as a mother.
